Trusting the Journey: Embracing God's Timing in Our Lives

"They say there is a time for everything, but as I keep learning, I realize that time is controlled by God, not by me".

Despite our desire to control everything and our tendency to be impatient and hasten things, good things inherently require time. Consider God; He is never in a hurry. If something feels rushed, whether it's a relationship, a career change, driving, or communication, it is not aligned with God's nature.

About nine years ago, I remember waking up from my sleep to write a poem that God placed on my heart. The poem is titled "A Heart Warming Minute" (Beautiful Emotions from a Lyrical Soul) on Amazon. As I share, please pay attention to every word.

I want to give a shout out to a special friend of mines, “TIME” not to many people will understand you and how you’ve became a big part of my life! 

Without you I wouldn’t know how to LOVE, be patient or heal on the inside and out, be a great leader for my children, staying humble and most importantly ‘staying strong. It took “TIME” my friend.

Thanks for getting me through long nights and struggles, through the tears and all my biggest fears. I could’ve became the person I am today without “TIME” “YOU”!!!

To be honest at first I was scared of letting you in my life “TIME” but I saw the consistency and flow of your friendship, so I started holding you near heart!

We became even closer when I identified what a relationship really meant. Whether it was with my mom, dad, my children, my siblings and close friends!

When it came to the thought of a soul mate I use to feel like you gave up on me but in reality you were there the whole “TIME”. In order to see that I had to gain trust as “TIME” went by “YOU”

I want to end this by saying thank you for sticking around all these years. I appreciate “YOU” “TIME” I adore you and love you!

As I documented my healing journey, I realized by 2026 that "Time" is intricately connected to Jesus. It's incredible how God's timing works, how He crafts the narrative with us as the characters—He is the potter, and we are the clay, He is the owner, and we are the workers. Even when we believe we comprehend His actions, we have no idea when the timing for anything will unfold.

I will share three scriptures to enlighten you on how time is entirely in God's hands:

1. Ecclesiastes 3: 1 (NIV) There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.

   
   

2. Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV) He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

   
   

3. Isaiah 55: 8-9 (NIV) “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

   neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

The beauty in all of this is that, regardless of what we experience and how we experience it, remember that nothing is coincidental. Everything occurred as it was meant to because God knew exactly when a great harvest would come into your life.
